We’re absolutely delighted to share some brilliant news! Bradford BID has won the Silver Award at the National BID Awards 2026!
This national recognition is a proud moment for our team and for the many partners we work alongside every day to support Bradford city centre.
Recognised for Security & Safety Drive
Bradford BID was named a finalist in the Security and Safety Drive category, which celebrates Business Improvement Districts delivering impactful initiatives that help create safer, more welcoming environments for businesses, residents and visitors.
To receive the Silver Award in this category is a fantastic endorsement of the collaborative work taking place across the city centre.
A Partnership Approach That Makes a Difference
Creating a safe, welcoming city centre is never the responsibility of one organisation alone. This award reflects the strength of partnership working across Bradford.
Our thanks go to the many organisations and individuals who work tirelessly alongside us, including:
The BID Patrol team and City Centre Beat
Local businesses and BID members
Neighbourhood policing teams
Bradford Council services
Security partners
Through intelligence sharing, joint patrols, training initiatives, business engagement and proactive support, we are continually working to improve the environment for everyone who visits, lives and works in Bradford.
Making Bradford City Centre Safer and More Welcoming
Bradford city centre continues to evolve, with growing footfall, new developments and increasing investment. As the city grows, so too does the importance of maintaining a secure and welcoming atmosphere.
Our Security and Safety Drive initiatives focus on:
Supporting businesses with crime prevention advice
Delivering radio link and communication systems
Coordinating multi-agency operations
Providing visible reassurance through patrols and engagement
Promoting responsible behaviour and safeguarding
This recognition shows that the work being delivered here in Bradford stands out on a national stage.
Proud But Not Standing Still
While we’re incredibly proud of this achievement, we know there is always more to do. City centres face ongoing challenges, and we remain committed to continuous improvement, innovation and partnership working.
This Silver Award is not just a milestone, it’s motivation for the BID team and all our partners to work together to make Bradford a welcoming place to live, work and visit.
