Bradford By The Sea set to bring seaside fun to city centre

Bradford By The Sea will bring a splash of coast-inspired fun to Bradford city centre, transforming the heart of the city from August 17-27.

The free, family-friendly event, organised by Bradford BID, promises a relaxed summer escape for all ages, complete with deckchairs around the Mirror Pool, a giant Playbox full of children’s activities and garden games for all to enjoy.

Nikki Chadburn, business communications manager at Bradford BID, said: "Bradford By The Sea is all about bringing people into the city centre to enjoy something fun, free and a little bit different this summer.

"Whether families are looking for activities to keep the children entertained, or people simply want somewhere to relax and soak up the atmosphere, there will be plenty to enjoy. We are really looking forward to seeing the city centre come alive with seaside spirit."

A highlight of the event will be a sand sculpture trail designed by Sand in Your Eye, featuring coastal-themed sculptures displayed throughout the city centre.

Visitors can pick up trail maps from the Broadway Hub and follow the route to uncover the secret word.

Those who complete the trail can enter a prize draw for a chance to win a £100 Bradford Gift Card.
